Allison Sutherland is the founder and creative visionary behind The Property Atelier, bringing over 20 years of interior design expertise combined with a sharp marketing background to every project. Raised in a family deeply rooted in design—her father was an accomplished interior designer with an appreciation for historical design. Allison developed a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces from a young age.

A Legacy of Design Excellence

Growing up alongside her father, Allison learned the craft of interior design early on, absorbing the principles of thoughtful spatial planning, refined aesthetics, and client-focused solutions with an appreciation for historical nuance. Inspired by this foundation, Allison graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a Degree in Product Development and Marketing with continuing study in Interior Design at UCLA.  Allison launched her own interior design practice in 2004, quickly establishing a reputation for delivering timeless, elevated spaces that balance style with strategic intent.

Expertise in Staging and Market-Ready Hospitality Spaces

Allison was the co-founder of a successful staging business, refining her ability to prepare homes that not only looked exceptional but consistently sold faster and for higher prices than comparable properties. Allison has personally operated AirBnB hospitality space herself, and has first-hand insight into guest expectations, functionality, and the details that directly influence five-star reviews, repeat bookings, and strong performance. This real-world experience deepens Allison’s understanding of how design directly can impact your results.

In addition to her design background, Allison brings extensive professional experience and college education in marketing, allowing her to approach property presentation with a unique perspective—blending aesthetic refinement with brand positioning and target audience appeal.
